I recently had the pleasure of spending one steamy July evening with the sweet Stinehart family. The occasion for their session was baby Carter’s first birthday, so he was the intended star of the show, but Lauren and Bradley quickly showed that they are equally photogenic! 

When I was three years old, a kitten with a smashed paw showed up on our back steps late one night. My parents thought it had been stepped on by one of the cows next door and immediately rushed it to a family friend veterinarian. When the kitten came home a few days later from the vet with three legs, we had all fallen in love with him. He was now our cat and I was allowed to name him! I don’t remember this, but my mom says I immediately said “Luke!” after my best friend at the time 🙂

Baby Teddy greeted me with a giggle as I walked in the door. He clearly knew today was his photoshoot because he donned a stylish, yet comfortable outfit for the occasion. A sharp button-down, elastic-waist linen trousers, and teeny tiny loafers completed the ensemble. I appreciate that he found that elusive line between formal and functional wear that we all often strive for…

Jake ran over to us at full speed. We’d just sat down for dinner and someone had uttered the word “Santa.” He immediately jumped up and raced to get his Christmas list to show us. When he got back, we couldn’t help but laugh because it was literally a scroll! He’d stapled sheet after sheet of paper together to create a list longer than he is tall.
