I’ve learned that one of my absolute favorite types of photography sessions are babies and their families. It’s cliche to say, but the time flies by so quickly when they are little. The parents always say how it seems like their baby is changing every day. I feel lucky to get to capture them and their happy, sleep-deprived, blissful parents at these milestone stages that pass so soon.

The Bliss family and I met for a quick family session one frigid morning at the Lincoln Memorial. We switched back and forth between bundling little Julian up and everyone throwing their coats on until everyone was warm enough to take the layers back off again and shoot more photos. I’m proud of how many shots we got in a very short period of time! Julian was overall very happy with having his photo taken, though he had a concerned look each time we unwrapped him from his blanket. Like, “Guys, why are we doing this? Don’t you realize it’s cold out here?! I can’t understand why you keep taking off my blanket!!”
