Baby Cillian couldn’t believe his eyes when we set his little “one” cake down in front of him. His happy parents encouraged him to taste it, but he couldn’t help but keep looking up at them with these wide, are-you-sure-I’m-supposed-to eyes. After much coaxing and even a taste from Dad to “show him how it’s done,” we convinced him that the cake was not, indeed, a trick and that he was allowed to dive in.

He took that suggestion to heart and literally face-planted into his cake! The whole thing was absolutely hilarious and we even caught some of it on video. I think it’s safe to say he enjoyed it 🙂

Happy Birthday, Cillian! It has been such a joy to watch you grow and to see your parents adapt into two of the chillest parents I’ve ever met. Perhaps it’s no coincidence you’ve earned the nickname Chill-ian for your laid back disposition. Like parents, like baby!
