I'm so glad you're here! I believe that every couple deserves not only gorgeous images from their wedding day, but an experience that allows them to be fully present and feel absolutely incredible!
I'm honored you're here. Let's get started...
I've loved photography since I was 14, but I never considered it as a full-time job. After graduating from college, I thought I had to start a “real” career and use my Environmental Science & Policy degree. I went on to work for two non-profits and, though passionate about the causes, I knew deep down it wasn’t the right fit for me.
My parents are entrepreneurs, so the “language” of running a business and the example of a lifestyle outside of a typical 9-to-5 was always familiar and appealing to me. While I was working a desk-job and feeling uninspired, my sister Carla encouraged me to take up photography again on the side. Through her encouragement, I launched Emily Belson Photography in the summer of 2017. After the first several months happily working many long hours outside of my day job to grow EBP from the ground up, I went full time and haven't looked back.
Now, I feel so grateful and happy to be in this season of growing our little family, this wedding and portrait photography business, and a branding photography and videography business called Sister Social with Carla.
Getting to work with so many incredible couples and clients makes this feel like the best "job" in the world. I try to live my life in an intentional way and that's how I treat my clients, too. From the day we meet, I believe it is my job to help you feel (and look!) as amazing as possible while documenting this special season of your life. I'd be honored to work with you!
