You may recognize these cute faces. They are my sister Carla and her boyfriend Max. They have been together for nearly eight (!!!) years and for fun, we snapped a few images while visiting one of our favorite local spots, Black Ankle Winery. We had a great time sipping wine, listening to the live music, and taking these (see Max’s face in the last image for the level of seriousness).

When I announced my Valentine’s Day mini sessions, it was the perfect opportunity for a girly, pink, silly 20-minute session!
Read MoreIt was a super hot day in July and Melissa and I were worried about our bride and groom overheating, but John had just returned from a tour in Africa so he didn’t mind, even in full uniform. Lorraine caught a breeze by riding up to the first look on her famous pink vespa with a huge smile, veil and all!

With a smile and a joke, Brent always knew how to help Pat with his classroom challenges. I was lucky enough to spend time with him outside of the school setting at lots of social gatherings.

In the midst of her moving back to the US and John going through the US immigration process, Emily hadn't thought about scheduling an engagement session. Luckily, John was going to be in town from Dubai for a week and we were able to make it happen!

The room Carla and I shared, the backyard that felt endless, the spot in the kitchen where I used to sit in time-out while the oven timer counted down :), the front room where I practiced piano... so many childhood memories held in the home I now share with my husband.
Read MoreAs I snapped the shutter and spun the camera around for LeaAnne to see the first image of their engagement session, the look in her eye said it all. We were in a magical setting that looked straight out of a fairytale and she was thrilled. So was I! The cherry blossoms lining the Tidal Basin this year were absolutely striking.
