When a Capitol Police Officer walked up to us, I was expecting that he’d ask us to move away from the building (typical DC). Instead, he said he had an engagement gift for LeaAnne and Danny and escorted us through the gates and onto the Capitol steps- a restricted area hardly anyone is allowed to go! The look on their faces (and mine!) was of utter excitement. To stand on those historic steps and take once-in-a-lifetime engagement photos of LeaAnne and Danny was a dream come true.

Who would have thought I would find myself combining two of my greatest passions in life through this business?! I have been so fortunate over the past few months to discover an unexpected type of photography in my business– yoga photography!A little backstory: I’ve been a yogi since my freshman year of college and I found the practice like I believe many do when I needed a mental outlet.

The first thing you notice about Nikki is her sweet smile and warmth 🙂 Paired with her restorative, calm yoga classes, she is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend her if you’re in the area and looking for an instructor!

Couples like Janna and Sam don’t come around often. In addition to being insanely fun and adventurous, they seemed to have known each other forever at the very beginning of their relationship.
