Jefferson Memorial, Washington, DC

The morning before Patrick and I moved out of our little downtown DC apartment (we’re still in the area, just outside the city), I met Nikki for a sunrise session at the beautiful Jefferson Memorial. It was one of the first brisk mornings of the fall, but we embraced the cool air and started shooting just as the sun rose. Nikki is a yoga teacher and I’ve had the pleasure of taking her classes over the past few months. The first thing you notice about her is her sweet smile and warmth 🙂 Paired with her restorative, calm yoga classes, she is a wonderful teacher and I highly recommend her if you’re in the area and looking for an instructor! She is also the co-founder of an awesome online shop called Nourish & Refine. Their mission is to empower women to prioritize self-care offering locally, women-made products and encourage wellness through community events.
