Wow, I am really on my blogging game this week! I’m excited to cap this week’s posts off with this sweet boy. I was lucky enough to photograph Carter for his first birthday (see the post here) and meet his parents. Last year, we shot on the hottest day of the year in the middle of the summer in Alexandria.

This family is the epitome of joyful. I have known Joni, their vibrant mom, for many years after working together at my first job. She is warm, energetic, positive, and inspiring. In the time since I decided to go full-time with my own business, she has been a true mentor to me.

It’s here! Part III! If I had to choose, I’d say this was my favorite part of Jessica’s brand shoot. No, my favorite was the cherry blossoms.. no, the time in her apartment (coming soon!). I love them all.

Baby Cillian couldn’t believe his eyes when we set his little “one” cake down in front of him. His happy parents encouraged him to taste it, but he couldn’t help but keep looking up at them with these wide, are-you-sure-I’m-supposed-to eyes. After much coaxing and even a taste from Dad to “show him how it’s done,” we convinced him that the cake was not, indeed, a trick and that he was allowed to dive in.
