I know that taking pictures can be an intimidating experience. Most of us are not professional models and it’s weird to think of someone you hardly know snapping away as you are supposed to “look natural!” I completely understand that. In fact, I don’t know how to pose in front of the camera without some guidance either! Usually my sister Carla is the one saying, “Emily! Bend your knee!” I spend my days helping my clients look great, but when the camera is turned on me.. I’m lost. That said, I consider it my responsibility to help you look your absolute best, while making your photo session feel as fun and enjoyable as possible because I know posing in a flattering way doesn’t come natural for most of us.
Kristen and Brian were the kind of dream clients who are eager to be cued for what to do while also not taking any of it too seriously. I love when couples don’t take themselves or their session too seriously and we all spend the entire time laughing!! It’s clear that these two have a special connection and are truly the best of friends. I am so excited for their wedding! It was an honor to photograph them against DC’s iconic monuments on the National Mall.
