This adorable family! What a joy to spend an evening with them last week, capturing their love for each other. Kaitlyn reached out to me hoping to book a session when they received hard news about their pup, Gryffin. Without knowing how much time they’d have left together, she wanted to have a few images to remember him and their life on the farm where they live. To honor their little family, we decided to photograph one of their favorite activities together- their evening walk.

Kaitlyn, her husband Blake, and Gryffin live on a beautiful horse farm in rural Maryland. As you drive up, the tree-lined drive, horses in the fields, and cats and dogs running around feel like something out of a children’s book. It is idyllic!

For the session, we took our time walking down the road to the stream and back. Kaitlyn and Blake shared that they are moving out of the state soon so these images will serve many purposes. They signify their first home together as husband and wife, their life with Gryff, and nearly their first anniversary. Gryffin didn’t love having to sit for pictures so we mostly let him just run and have fun. I feel so lucky to have been able to document this sweet evening for this adorable, special family.
