What a joy to capture my cousin and his fiancé in their new home! Billy and I grew up together (along with our other million cousins) and he is one of the kindest people I know. He is lighthearted, cheerful, and has become my Dad’s very best friend. He is incredibly important to my family and we are thrilled he found his perfect match in Carrie.

The first time I met her, I had a feeling it wouldn’t be too long before they were husband and wife. She is hilarious, no nonsense, and absolutely adores him. Carla and I are so excited to capture their wedding in just a couple months!

After they got engaged around Christmas, they began looking for a home to share. Their stories about house hunting had us in fits of laughter around the dinner table! Thankfully, the bumpy saga ended with them in a great home. We’re especially excited because it is only 10 minutes away!! They immediately began renovating the older home and have spent their weekends transforming it into a more modern space (goodbye, olive tub!).

We did their engagement session last Sunday evening after a long weekend of work. Billy and Carrie, as you can see, are super photogenic so all of these (plus lots more in their full gallery) were taken in about half an hour! It’s amazing what chemistry on camera can do… 🙂 We began inside and grabbed a few of them working together. Note: Billy unplugged the nail gun so that “she doesn’t use this opportunity to shoot me.” Hahaha! Safety first. After a quick outfit change, we went out to their beautiful backyard and grabbed some glowy sunset shots including the bottle of whiskey Billy bought her to celebrate their engagement and Carrie’s pup Grim.

Congratulations, Billy and Carrie! We love you, can’t wait for your wedding, and look forward to many more years of “growing up” together!
